Good morning in Rezekne!

Thanks for visiting our project's "Prominent people of Rezekne in the 20th century" webpage.

Aim of the project was to give information to Internet users about individuals who achieved considerable success in their professional or creative career, pushed on the development of public and political events, made significant scientific discoveries as well as particular contributions to arts, music, sports and other fields thereby letting out the name of Rezekne to the outside world.

Project includes individual biographies and photos of people of different generations, various nationalities, their wide scope of achievements exposed. Biographies are classified by topics though you may choose them from a full listing. We recommend to visit gallery of artists, which is big independent part of this project.

Developers of the project are aware that due to a limited volume it has been next to impossible to present information on many other individuals whose contribution in some field might be considered as an outstanding achievement of the 20th century. It is also possible that some persons were not in the project's managers' bank of data, which is based on Latgale Culture and History museum's archives. That is why - you - dear users of the net are most welcome to submit your proposals and ideas on what other great personas should be included in the framework of the project "Prominent people of Rezekne in the 20th century".
